Peatland apprenticeship opportunity for Jamie.

Thanks to the NatureScot’s pioneering ‘New Entrant Scheme’, Jamie has been able to enrol on a 6 week peatland training programme with us which will offer him real-life experience in peatland restoration.

During this time, Jamie will gain new knowledge and skills to carry out a variety of peatland restoration techniques and is already proving he will be a valued member of our restoration team.

The scheme has been most welcomed by us a peatland contractor as training new operatives to a level of competency can be time consuming and expensive. The additional funding goes a long way for us and we hope there is potential for further similar schemes in the future to benefit others looking to get into peatland restoration.
